Son's room in the basment- after a flood the carpet & floor boards were soaked. How do I get rid of the odor? - ball room carpets

He threw the carpet, the floor is about 3 layers of plywood. I think the window open and I have moth balls down. Saw mold in one of his books on the shelf-HELP!

Well, sorry! I wonder why he put plywood over concrete? In any case, it would be as many fans as possible and certainly get a dehumidifier? I continue to operate until they can be positive that everything is good and dry, then seal the plywood, and should eliminate the odor. Kilz is a good sealer / primer and a mold and blocked mildrew it. It's a good idea to use a dehumidifier in the basement the whole time really, but especially in summer, if you're in a hot and humid.
Good luck!

His insurance would have covered. Get a dehumidifier in your nefore no longer be easily damaged. Mix of plywood and let air dry completely. Then wash all with 1 cup of bleach in 5 gallons of water. Let dry a few days, put more wood.

You can open the window all you want, but if the moisture to the outside to 100%, as in this dry, never. You need 1 or 2, dehumidifiers, this could Woork, but if you have a lot of wood down, and in opposi-plated stand in the wet is probably ruined anyway.

Baking soda. You know how people put on their refrigerator to keep the smell? Baking soda will also work here. Just pour on the floor and let it sit for a few hours and all other days for a week. Does the smell.

Dehumidifier running constantly and close the window when it is running. Then put the house for sale because his son has not slept in a cellar. Go buy a house with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for all.

Moth balls? What do you think?
